Frothy Limeade

It's been hot lately, like really hot, so refreshing, cold drinks are very welcome. This drink definitely falls in the refreshing category! I love how this recipe really uses the entire lime, which gives it amazing flavour. A splash of milk gives it a beautiful colour and the froth!
Start with two fresh limes. Since you're going to be using the whole thing, wash it really well.

Juice them! I like to cut my limes into quarters to juice.

Toss the remaining pieces of the lime, rind and all, into a blender with some water.

Give it 10-12 pulses. It's totally fine if there is still pieces of lime left, those will get tossed.

Strain the lime juice out of the blender using a fine sieve and add it to the juice from before.

Add the milk, sugar, lime mixture, and water. Once you give it a good 10 seconds,  the milk will make it all frothy and delicious!

They were gone pretty quickly! :)

Adapted from Mel's Kitchen Cafe- Makes 4 Tall Glasses

2 large limes
2 cups water
1 cup cold water
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons milk

Juice the limes, this should yield about 1/2  cup of liquid. Toss the remaining pieces of lime into a blender with the 2 cups water and pulse 10-12 times. Strain the juice out of this mixture with a fine sieve, and add in lime juice. You can discard any remaining lime pieces in the sieve. Add the lime mixture, cold water, sugar, desired amount of ice, and milk into a blender. Puree for 10 seconds, or until the milk is frothy. Pour into 4 tall glasses over ice. Enjoy!
