Here is the long promised recipe for chocolate pudding by Joy The Baker. If you would like to see pics, please check out the last post!
Adapted from Joy The Baker
1/3 cup sugar
2 T cornstarch
2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 t salt or sea salt
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 oz milk chocolate, chopped
1 t vanilla extract
Whisk the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a large sauce pan until there is not lumps. Add the milk and cream, and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 1 minute, whisking constantly. The mixture should thicken during this time, if it doesn't, don't worry, just keep on stirring. Remove from the heat and stir in chocolate and vanilla. Continue to whisk until the chocolate melts. Enjoy!
I love to top this with fresh, homemade whipped cream.
For the cocoa powder, I use Hershey's Special Dark to get that beautiful dark chocolate color and flavour.
I have served this in cups, jars, bowls, ect.
This recipe makes around 4 servings, depending on how you serve it.
